Our recent survey on social marketing only confirmed the importance of social media as a tool for B2B marketers, and this week saw the release of yet another social marketing outlet and another opportunity for marketers to interact with their fans and potential leads.
This week, Google announced the release of Google+ Pages for businesses, not necessarily a new concept (think facebook pages, with “circles”) but certainly a worthwhile option for marketers looking to extend their reach to an even wider range of potential clients.
“People search on Google billions of times a day, and very often, they’re looking for businesses and brands,” Vic Gundotra, Google’s senior vice president of engineering wrote on the Official Google Blog Monday. “Today’s launch of Google+ Pages can help people transform their queries into meaningful connections.”
Because we just can’t resist a hot new marketing trend, our Pardot Google+ page is up and running. Businesses looking to follow suit can build their own page here, as well as learn about capabilities and benefits of Google+ pages.
“For businesses and brands, Google+ pages help you connect with the customers and fans who love you,” Gundotra explained. “Not only can they recommend you with a +1, or add you to a circle to listen long-term. They can actually spend time with your team, face-to-face-to-face.”
Check out Pardot on Google+ (and feel free to recommend us with a +1)! We hope to get lots more content up in the coming weeks and look forward to finding new, creative ways we can interact with all of our Pardot clients and partners.
