Piggybacking on our Email Templates Types enhancement, your sales reps can now send marketing approved email templates from within salesforce.com. The email template drop down will be restricted to Email Templates you have designated as One to One so your sales reps won’t have to wade through list emails, drip emails, etc.

Sales reps can also choose to create an email from scratch, preview it, and send it to a prospects. If the prospect does not already exist in Pardot, it will be created behind the scenes, synced with salesforce.com, and assigned to the user sending the email.

  1. This is awesome, my sales reps have been asking for this!

    • Awesome — glad to help. This feature, combined with the new single sign-on feature we rolled out (where you can just enable it on behalf of your reps) makes things much easier in salesforce.com.

  2. Great feature Pardot! And for those who don’t know how to add the button in Salesforce, it’s in Setup>Customize>Leads/Contact>Page Layout

  3. Will a feature like this be created for sending mass emails from SFDC or will it remain strictly for individual emails?

    • Hi Ashlie — that’s a possibility in the future. Would you see this being for sales reps to use or just for marketers? It’s a bit scary to have sales reps sending out mass emails (you’d probably want some governors in there regarding recency and frequency).

  4. Can you please hyperlink from this post to the Email Template Types documentation so I don’t have to search for it separately every time? ;)
