Starbucks Caffeinates Mobile Payment Start-up Square

The technology and marketing worlds love a good acquisition and this summer has not disappointed. This week saw the latest exciting deal inked between mobile payment start-up Square and coffee giant Starbucks. This acquisition is a sign of the rising interest in both mobile payments and the expanding role of mobile strategies in business. With smartphone proliferation growing at a tremendous rate, businesses are scrambling to move aspects of their business into the mobile space.
