Once your CRM connector is set up initially, you might want to do a few tests to ensure that the connector is syncing in the manner that you expect. This can help alleviate any concerns that your connector will mess up any of your current data. Listed below are 4 optional ways to test to confirm that your connector is set up correctly, and that data is syncing.

1) New Pardot Prospect / Existing CRM Record

Create a new prospect record in Pardot that already exists in your CRM. Click ‘Synchronize with CRM’ to see if that record then syncs, or wait 10-15 minutes to see if the connector initiates the sync.

2) New Pardot Prospect / New CRM Record

Create a prospect record in Pardot with an email address of a CRM record that does not exist. Add a new record in the CRM with the same email address. Click ‘Synchronize with CRM’ to see if that record syncs, or wait 10-15 minutes to see if the connector initiates the sync.

3) Assigning Prospects In Pardot

Create a prospect in Pardot with an email address that does not already exist in the CRM and assign the prospect to a user. Check to see if this record is then created in your CRM.

4) Automatic Pardot Prospect Created From New CRM Record
