Careers

If you’re looking to start a career at a fast-paced, innovative company with loads of opportunity, then look no further than Pardot. We are growing quickly and are always looking for motivated and talented individuals to join our team.

Come work in a fun, collaborative environment with our friendly team of self-starters. We greatly pride ourselves on our company culture, and every aspect of that culture is designed to bring out the best in our employees. Each and every team member embodies our core values of being positive, self-starting, and supportive, and we’re always seeking to hire remarkable people to uphold those values and join our family.

In addition to Salesforce benefits, Pardot employees enjoy numerous perks, including an upbeat office environment (with great views!), the option to dress casually, and a flexible telecommuting policy. While a fully-stocked fridge, a foosball table, and a ping pong room may seem like they don’t belong at the top of any company’s priority list, we firmly believe that investing in our employees is the best way to foster a productive, results-oriented work environment.

Sound too good to be true? We have the accolades to back up our claims about the outstanding Pardot culture. Our Atlanta office has been recognized as one of the best places in the city to work several years in a row, and Salesforce continues to garner praise as one of Fortune’s Best Companies To Work For and one of Forbes’ Most Innovative Companies in the World.

Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Role Description:

Interested in working for the Best Place to Work in Atlanta?  Pardot is currently looking for software developers to help us build and maintain the Pardot web application that serves over 2000 requests per second and sends over 350 million emails every month. You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of projects and features, and you’ll continually expand your development skills.   We pride ourselves on being the best place to work, and on having the best people to work with. We offer competitive salaries, ridiculously good benefits, and an extremely fun environment.

You are positive, self-starting, and supportive. You are excited about solving problems with technology, and you’ve solved problems using technology in the past. You probably have a Github profile with some neat things on it, and there is at least something other than programming that you get really excited about. Chances are pretty good that you have a formal computer science education, but as long as you’ve been deliberately solving problems for a while and have some programming experience, it could work out.  At least one of our Programs sounds like something you’d want to do:

  • Trust: We are a proactive team whose projects measurably improve any of the four pillars of Trust: Security, Reliability, Performance, and Transparency.

  • Engagement Studio: We increase customer success and satisfaction by enhancing our existing suite of tools that encompass our marketing execution engine.

  • Integration: We achieve parity and simplicity through unification of the Pardot and Salesforce platforms for Sales, Marketing, and Admin users.

  • New Markets: We add flexibility to Pardot’s core product to solve for international and enterprise scale customers who have specific but quantifiable needs.

Your Impact:

  • Work on a small team of engineers to deliver high-quality code that is simple, readable, well tested, and meets the needs of our customers.
  • Professionally communicate digitally and verbally with technical and non-technical people about your work, including with Pardot customers.
  • Continually improve your programming skills and work to help improve the skills of everyone around you.
  • Work towards becoming a master of the Pardot application, able to find any bug, deliver any feature, and orchestrate any architectural change.
  • Have fun.

Basic Requirements:

  • B.A./B.S./M.S. with a strong academic record or relevant experience
  • Overall fluency in software development and communicating about software
  • Demonstrateable dedication to software craftsmanship and code quality
  • Compensation package and role dependent on experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with full-stack web-application testing, debugging, and/or performance tuning
  • Experience working on applications with many moving parts (not just PHP files and MySQL on one server)
  • Experience working with a cross-functional team including Operations, Quality, Product, Security, etc
  • Significant contributions to open source software
  • Strong interest in marketing
  • Experience with PHP and Symfony, Ember.js, Chef
  • Several years of postgraduate programming experience
