We wanted to let you know about an exciting new improvement to our email reporting that we have just implemented.

Previously, because of the way that email opens are measured, it’s possible that some opens are never recorded. Pardot records opens by placing a tiny transparent tracking image inside all emails. When that image is loaded, we know that the prospect has opened the email. This method works really well and is one of the only ways to get a count of who is opening your email. However, there could be times when a prospect did open your email and click [...]

We just made life a little easier with the option to include a separate “reply-to” address when sending out emails. No one likes getting a slew of out-of-office emails after your latest email blast. Now you can keep those unwanted auto-response emails out of your inbox, while still being able to send from any of the users in your Pardot account.

This reply-to address can be set at the individual email or email template level. It also works with one-to-one, autoresponder, and drip emails as well.

Thanks to everyone who provided their feedback to make this feature happen!

We’re always looking for ways to make the email creation process as painless as possible. One piece of feedback we received is that you’d like the “Save as Draft” button more readily available to save your content quickly.

Before today, you would have to go all the way to the last step of the email wizard to save your content as a draft, taking a lot of time and clicks. Thanks to everyone who provided the valuable feedback that this wasn’t as user-friendly as it could be, because we’ve listened.

You can now quickly and easily save your email as a draft [...]

Previously, when a prospect had opted out from receiving email, it sometimes would prevent them from receiving emails they really did want. For example, if a prospect submitted a form to download a white paper, the auto-responder email sent by a completion action containing a link to that content would not be sent.

Now, even if a prospect has opted out of receiving emails, they’ll receive autoresponder emails after completing forms and form handlers.

Notes:

Autoresponders sent from an Automation Rule will still not send to an opted out prospect. The prospect must request the email via a form or form [...]

We are excited to release a connector with one of our favorite companies, Wistia. They make it incredibly easy to upload, embed, and track videos on your website and are constantly innovating in the video space. What’s even better is that you can get started with them for free while you decide on your video strategy.

If you want to track video views and tie them back to prospects, take a look at what they have to offer. Once you have an account opened up and some videos embedded on your site, simply create a Connector in Pardot to start seeing [...]

Back in early November we quietly introduced something to Pardot that we think will have a positive, lasting impact on our clients –  a professional services team.

You can see what we’re up to in the “Just the Facts” section below, but let’s take a minute to explain why we’re launching this new service. We’ll answer the three most common questions we’ve received so far.

OK, let’s get this out of the way: Is this going to cost me?

Yes, there is additional cost associated with a professional services engagement. Our timing and pricing estimates are created specifically for each client and our [...]

Ever wonder how many records you have when you choose a certain view on the prospect table? Want to know how many landing pages you have? Previously you had to do a little math and multiply the number of pages (in the pager). Now we display a count at the bottom of almost all tables in the app. The count will update as you change filters, date ranges, or views. Happy counting!

We occasionally encounter clients who do not use the Lead object in salesforce.com for whatever reason. If you would like to only have Pardot create Contacts you can now contact support or your client advocate to enable that option.
