As our content team was planning for 2016, we wanted to be sure we had you, our readers, in mind. You see, when you’ve been writing about B2B marketing as long as we have, it’s easy to get tunnel vision. So, we asked you to help us out with a quick gut check by answering two survey questions.
Those questions were:
- What is your top B2B marketing priority for 2016?
- What do you want to hear more about on the blog this year?
Today we’re sharing the results. We’ll be keeping these suggestions near and dear as we plan our blog calendar, and even our larger content initiatives like e-Books.
Marketers are still ranking high-quality leads as priority numero uno, taking 34% of the vote. No surprise there, we know that’s a never-ending challenge (in fact, our own 2016 targets have us shaking in our boots a little!). We’ll continue to deliver lots of great tips, best practices, guest authors, and more — all focused on the goal of helping you, well, meet your goals.
Now, on to the blog topics you’re dying to see more of this year.
More marketing automation tips and tricks was by far the largest request. This is really important feedback for us to hear, because it tells us that you are ready for us to go deeper, and really get into the nitty gritty of marketing automation. We try to provide a balance of content on all areas of B2B marketing, including industry trends, unique perspectives, best practices, and marketing automation tips. Sometimes we worry about getting too in the weeds, because our readers span all levels of expertise, and some may not be Pardot clients today. However, now that we have this data on what you really want, we can use it as a guiding light as we refine and perfect our content mix.
