Filter daily visitor report email by geography

A lot of businesses assign geographic territories to sales reps. We have now added territory / geography filters for the daily visitor report email so that users can hone in on the identified visitors that interest them the most.

Visitor Email Geo-filter

Geo-filters for the daily visitor email are  set up on a per user basis under user preferences. If no identified visitors match the specified filter, no email will be sent for that day.

Enabling a Visitor Geo-filter for Yourself

  1. Click on your email address in the top right of the application.
  2. Click Edit my user preferences.
  3. Check the box for Send daily visitor activity emails.
  4. Select the radio button to Filter visitors by geography.
  5. Check the boxes for the states, countries, or regions whose identified visitors you would like to see. Use the tabs at the top to toggle between U.S. states, Canadian provinces, and E.U. countries.
  6. Click the Save user preferences to enable the geo-filter.

Enabling a Visitor Geo-filter for Another User

  1. Click on Admin in the top navigation.
  2. Click on User Management > Users in the resulting sub-navigation.
  3. Find the user that you would like to edit and click Edit preferences.
  4. Check the box for Send daily visitor activity emails.
  5. Select the radio button to Filter visitors by geography.
  6. Check the boxes for the states, countries, or regions whose identified visitors you would like to see. Use the tabs at the top to toggle between U.S. states, Canadian provinces, and E.U. countries.
  7. Click the Save user preferences to enable the geo-filter.
