3 Ways to Crank up Your Content in 2016 [New Webinar]

At the beginning of every year, we see an uptick in interest levels around topics like content marketing, email marketing, reporting, and SEO/SEM — no surprise given that motivation to improve is typically at its highest as the New Year rolls over.

But how do you sustain that motivation as day-to-day tasks creep back in, and more and more meetings land on your once blissfully-free calendar?

To help B2B marketers really take their marketing to the next level this year, Pardot is hosting a B2B bootcamp webinar series throughout the month of January. First up? Our session on content marketing.

On Tuesday, January 19th at 2PM EST, Pardot’s content team will be joined by SnapApp CEO Seth Lieberman to discuss content strategy best practices and trends for this year. Grab your red pen and register here before spots fill up! (You can view a full rundown of all of the webinars we’ll be running this month here.)

Can’t wait until next week? Get a head start by taking a look at a few of the ways we recommend “cranking up your content” this year:

1. Think of strategy as a need-to-have, not a nice-to-have.

According to the Content Marketing Institute’s 2016 Benchmark report:

Fewer B2B marketers have a documented content marketing strategy compared with last year (32% vs. 35%), even though the research consistently shows that those who document their strategy are more effective in nearly all areas of content marketing.

Putting a content strategy in place was one of the best decisions we made at Pardot — but it took us a while to get there! In next week’s webinar, we’ll be discussing some of the lessons we’ve learned while building a content marketing program from the ground up, including what worked and what didn’t.

2. Be a sales enablement pioneer.

How many of you would say that sales enablement is a critical part of your content strategy? As sales and marketing teams buckle down on alignment, it’s becoming more and more critical for marketing teams to support their sales counterparts from a content perspective, not just a lead generation perspective.

Next week, we’ll be sharing more details on a video enablement program we put in place this year to help our sales reps sell more, faster. We’ll also be sharing tips for replicating similar programs at your own company.

3. Experiment with different types of content.

Seth Lieberman, CEO at SnapApp, knows all about the value of interactive content. Learn about trends in content marketing, the value of creating multiple types of content, and how to expand your creation efforts with limited resources.
